Wireless applications for small biz

Chicago-based Objectsoft Inc., a mobile application developer, has launched NotWired, an integrated application for small- to medium-sized companies that offers wireless access.

The service enables organizations and their mobile professionals to use business applications via PCs and wireless devices. Group scheduling, reminders, messages and other applications are available and more will be added later this year. The applications work interactively with wireless phones and other wireless devices. The service will be free through 2000, after which a monthly service fee of approximately $10 will be charged, a company spokesman said.

"These applications are targeted for the small- and medium-business marketplace because integrated application suites are too expensive and time-consuming to install and maintain," said Kevin Clark, CEO of Objectsoft. "NotWired was created with the objective to empower the rest of us."
